Tiki Month is already half gone…at least on the Pegu blog and therefore it´s time i come up with a drink in my next mug of the three i got from the Fireworks Studio. There`s so many great tiki mug makers out there and i have a bunch on my list. I`m not obsessed [...] Since it`february it´high time i plunge into the Tiki Month which is an annual and very cool event over at the Pegu blog. I´m a bit late to the party because of mardi gras and then a rum review (Caroni-97) – but now i`m ready and very timely i happened to get a few [...]
Since february is Tiki Month it`s just appropriate with a Tiki themed Mixology Monday and of course it´s the Pegu blog that host the event – mahalo Doug! He`s the one who invented the tiki month of february – and every tiki month he cranks out posts at a speed that at least [...] If you didn´t know february isn`t only the month of Mardi Gras festivities it´s also the Tiki month! so we will see a never ending parade of tiki drinks on some blogs…it´s Doug over at the Pegu blog who started the tradition with Tiki month – plus it´s tiki for Mixology Monday on feb [...] SOMETHING RUMBOOLICIOUS! I`m a bit late to the party with this post, i blame it on the working-week…but for this booo weekend i have a rum-barrel type of tiki drink served in a for the theme black pineapple. I`m making it with – well you may have guessed it – rum – and after [...] I keep coming back to Campari over and over again, not too often but regularly because i really appreciate this bitter and very special tasting aperitif. It goes perfectly with all kinda citrus fruits and traditionally its the lemon and orange that is used, naturally since that`s what`s growing in Italy – the home [...] Here`s a Tales of the Cocktail seminar for everyone interested in Tiki! “An investigation and analysis from the death of the Tiki Bar to the resurgence to the new trends emerging. ” Do you wanna know what happened? and where Tiki stands today? have a few Tiki libations? then come over to this session [...] As you all know, its pumpkin time and what`s better than a flaming tiki drink? Here´s my version of the halloween tingy – the pumpkin is a good thing and very useful so i got the idea to scoop out a pumpkin and use half of the flesh to make a pumpkin butter syrup [...] I love tikidrinks and because the tiki drinks have such an exquisite balance and extraordinary depth of flavour yet having such a clean finish they deserve to be equally appreciated and respected as cocktails that are classic cocktails just as the other classics like the Old Fashioned or the Ramos. They are not only [...] There´s a demand for more posts from the TDNs that includes some of the comments and i do agree, its fun reading – especially if you`ve been there for a while and gotten to know the wonderful people who populate the mixoloseum chat room, but a few comments cannot really give a true picture [...] |
